Compose for film

In 2009, during my studies in sound section at theENS Louis-Lumière, I make a decisive encounter: the sound engineerPierre Gamet (1944-2012) took me on as a second sound assistant on a set, he trained me in taking "live sound". It fascinates me, I like the atmosphere of the sets, the teamwork. In 2012, I made my first feature film aschief sound operator.  This will be my job for more than 10 years. 

 

In 2015, my first loves caught up with me: themusic, THEviolin, theremusical composition, L'harmony, L'orchestration and theorchestral direction. My scientific side also leads me to tame themodular synthesizers, THEGRM Tools, the software Logic pro x, inelectroacoustic approach. I start composing for short films. At the end of 2019, director Quentin Reynaud is looking for a composer for the music of his feature filmFifth Set. He gives me his confidence and I enter fully into my new profession. i am todayfilm music composer. It is to music that I devote myself fully now. 

 

Sculpting the invisible on the edge of the sensitive

Mydual training,scientific and artistic, guides my way of composing and apprehending sound in general. My conception offilm music composition is strongly influenced by the encounter between myclassical musical universe and my studies fundamental physics. I'm workingat the crossroads of music, sound recording and sound design.  I combine expertise technique and artistic sensibility. For example, I happened to record the scores myself with the musicians, which gives me tremendous freedom in the creative process.

Delphine works with all forms of sound creation, at the crossroads between sound engineering and musical composition. Her dual competencies of sound engineer / composer encourage her to break down the barriers between sound and music. 

She studied the violin, chamber music, formal music writing, electroacoustic, orchestration, orchestral directing in french conservatories. 

 

In parallel she studies quantum physics and sound theory. Trained in sound engineering techniques at ENS Louis Lumière in Paris, she has worked as principal sound engineer on many feature films and on the American series Riviera, Dynasty and La Révolution.

 

Delphine works with all forms of sound creation, at the crossroads between sound engineering and musical composition. Her dual competencies of sound engineer / composer encourage her to break down the barriers between sound and music. She loves composing orchestral music. 

 

Selected at several film score composer conventions, she has composed soundtracks for several short films. She is now composing the score of one full-length feature film.
In 2020, she is laureate of the French program Emergence. She composed the score of the short film Le bon ami, pre-selected for the oscars 2021.
